B & B in YORK--- Friars Rest Guest House has been owned by the same family for many years and we take pride in the high standard of hospitality and comfort that we offer our guests. We pay particular attention to cleanliness and attention to detail.

Built on the site of an old monastery, Friar's Rest is a comfortable and well furnished guest house. We are just a short 8-10  minute pleasant riverside walk from the city center. All rooms are en suite and well equipped with FLAT Screen FREEVIEW TV's and tea/ coffee/chocolate making facilities also with biscuits. Friars Rest has the benefit of an off road car park and on road parking permits.

All diets catered for with a vegetarian breakfast on request. We are handy for University and Fulford Golf Club. And we have easy access to A/M1 and A64 outer ring road. The guest house has a full Fire Certificate and we are members of the York Guest House Association. We have a 3 diamond commended status with English Tourist Board.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We need your Visa / card details to guarantee the room booking--If you do not turn up on the night or cancel within 7 days  of the arrival date or leave earlier  than your agreed  stay we will charge the full cost of the stay to your card ( less £ 5.00 per room per night ). We always  try and relet  the  room and if we can & will refund accordingly. We are only a small business and cannot easily relet the rooms at short notice --You may wish to take out an insurance cancellation policy to cover this .
